Summersville City Council Meets

After the Summersville City council was called to order by Stephanie Briggs, Councilman Lloyd Jackson asked to read a statement concerning the Emergency closed Meeting called on April 9, 2014. Jackson stated he called the meeting because someone in the community brought it to his attention that Mayor Lee did not live in the city limits of Summersville. After her house burned, she and her family moved to a property located just off 2nd Street (Factory Rd). The concerned citizen went to Texas County Assessor’s office and asked for information and maps with the city limits marked. Mayor Lee’s home was outside the city limits. This was brought to Councilman Jackson’s attention. Mayor Lee and other council members looked on the map in city hall. Mayor Lee concurred according to the map in city hall that
