Former Astronaut Akers Excites Children at the Library

Fizz! BOOM! Read! is in full swing and loaded with fun. Wednesday, July 9, the Summersville Library was blessed by a special reading by astronaut Col. Tom Akers. He read The Cow That Wouldn’t Come Down to approximately 29 children and 28 adults in attendance. Afterwards, Col. Akers told about his experiences in space and working with NASA. He was wonderful with the children and answered their many questions.
